First Soccer Game! Dragons vs. Sharks

So on Saturday, Emma had her first soccer game. Or, I guess I should say her first 2 soccer games! Her team did wonderful. There are 2 very fast boys on her team, and in the beginning she became frustrated when she didn't get to kick the ball as often as she wanted to. There is 1 other girl on her team, and they stick together! But Emma overcame her frustration, and had a wonderful time. Enjoy the pics!

Soccer!!

Spring is just around the corner...and we can't wait!! Things are going really great for the Tharpe family. Emma is doing fantastic and thriving in Kindergarten! Her teacher even selected her for the Primary Talent Pool in reading--aka gifted studies! Emma truly is a gift to her family! She is such a sweet, smart and caring little girl! She is becoming independent too--she sets her Hello Kitty alarm clock every night, and wakes up on her own and dresses herself for school. The only thing mommy helps her with is her hair! :) She amazes us every single day!

Gabriel is doing fantastic in preschool, and we registered him for the 3 day, 4-year-old preschool program next year. He will have Mrs. Diana, the same teacher Emma had for 4-year-old preschool. He is fully potty-trained! Yay! No more pullups at night! He loves to play with his trains and cars. He is really loving Disney Cars right now, especially Lightening McQueen. He is a happy little boy who loves to play! Actually, he would rather stay home with mommy and play all day instead of going to preschool. Every single morning last week, he told me that he did not want to go to school. He told me, "Ms. Michelle's class is closed!" But by the time it was ready to leave the house, he was ready to go to school. He never cries when I drop him off though--I am very thankful for that! He LOVES being the line leader, and it is always easy to get him out of the house on those days!

So today, Emma had her first soccer practice. She decided that she wanted to try Spring Soccer, and she had a lot of fun at practice. But tonight she was telling us that her legs were hurting. She did run a lot at practice. She told us that she wanted to play soccer forever! LOL. Hopefully she stills feel that way on Saturday after her first 2 games of the season. Enjoy the pictures!

Oh, Gabe took this one--of his favorite cowboy boots!
Gabe took this one too! Emma is kicking the ball.

She's ready!

She was excited to learn that a little boy from her class is on her team. Here they are chatting!

Playhouse Disney Live!

Saturday we took the kids to see Playhouse Disney Live! They loved it! And the Palace Theater in Louisville is absolutely beautiful! Gabe LOVED it when Handy Manny came on stage! Emma enjoyed it too.Unfortunately, Emma and Macy were not feeling well at all, so the fun day ended up with a stop at AcuteCare. After seeing the doctor, and receiving meds (Macy for croup and Emma for strep)--the girls were feeling much better by the time we finally made it home! (Emma's strep test came back negative, but since she was complaining that her throat was hurting and her tonsils were swollen, they treated it as strep. She also had an ear infection)! But by Sunday she was feeling much better, and she and I went to a skating birthday party! It was a fun mommy/daughter evening!

The show was getting ready to start!

ROLLER SKATING!!

A couple of weeks a go, my sisters and I took the kids roller skating! They had a blast! Well, except for Gabe...he did not want ANY help, then became frusrated, then tired and was happy eating popcorn! Emma and Macy loved it! Emma even had a little admirer following her around. She was skating with her Aunt Nana, and a little boy named "Wilson" kept skating over to her, talking to her, and get this...he wanted to "couples skate" with her. But, considering that he fell right in front of Emma, and really could barely stand on his skates, she politely declined. LOL. Enjoy the pics!
