My favorite Uncle is almost finished painting my house, and it looks great! Emma loves her new yellow bathroom. When she saw it for the first time, she laughed and said, "It looks like a big banana!"
Last night, we went to her preschool to meet her new teacher. Her teacher's name is Miss Diana, and Emma will start next Tuesday. I can't believe its time to start again! Miss Diana seems nice, and Emma has a friend from her 3 year old class in there with her, and they will be sitting beside each other. She is anxious to go back. I, on the other hand, wouldn't mind another month of sleeping in! Oh well.
On Sunday, Humana funded an event at the zoo, and we took the kids and had a wonderful time. It was HOT! But we managed to eat lunch, which was provided. We then took the train around the zoo. We rode the carousel 2 times, and then looked at the animals and played at the splash park. Emma loved the splash park, but had a really hard time waiting in line for the water slides. Gabe liked it, but didn't like the water in his face, and there were a lot of kids there so I think he was a bit overwhelmed. Needless to say, they both slept well that night.
I have pictures to post, and will do that soon!

What we've been up to...
FINALLY! Our internet has been down since Saturday, and I have been LOST! Yes, I have accomplished a lot of other things by not being on the computer, but still...
Mike finished the playground on Sunday! WooHoo! The kids LOVE it. I love it too. We have been out playing on it every day! Even with the horrible humidity, we still love it! Thanks daddy!
My twin sister and her daughter Macy came up for a visit on Friday. The kids played in the pool and sandbox and then we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch before they left.
Oh, we went to Holiday World on July 10th and had a great time. Emma and Macy loved the little rides, but Gabe didn't want any part of them. And they all loved the water park. Below are some pictures from our adventures...

July 4th!!
We had a fantastic 4th of July weekend! We drove down to Nashville on Thursday evening to spend a few nights with my sister, Tonya. On Friday, we went to the Adventure Science Center, and the kids had a great time. Of course, I don't know who had the most fun--Emma and Gabe or their daddy!
We then went to dinner at our favorite restaurant, Monell's. Then afterwards we watched the fireworks and ate homemade icecream. The kids were tuckered out by the time we made it to the van. And on Saturday, we bought some "snake away" and ate lunch with Aunt Tonya. And after Mike spread the snake stuff, we loaded up and went home.
Now, I am sure you are wondering about the Snake Away. On Friday, as Mike and I got back to Tonya's from our Starbucks run, we spotted a snake in the flower bed. I went in and we watched as Mike tried to "dispose" of it. But he was unsucessful and Jake the Snake, as we named him, made another appearance as we were getting the van to go to the Science Center. We all screamed (except for Mike), jumped in the van and squealed tires getting out of there. So yesterday they spread the snake repellant and hopefully he won't be back. If he does come back, Tonya will be looking for a new place to live.
It's always an adventure going to Aunt Tonya's!
