You know you live in the country when...

Today was Rineyville's Annual Homecoming Day. And of course, it has become our family tradition to watch the parade. Emma and Gabe loved it! And Mike and I both said that you know you are in the country when there are more tractors in the parade then anything else! ha ha. But we both love our little community!

Emma LOVED waving at everyone!

Emma and Macy loved this little ride at the fair.

This picture was taken before the roller coaster started. It was so funny--after the ride started, Macy had a big grin on her face the entire ride, but Emma looked scared to death! But when the ride was over with, Emma told me she loved it.

Gabe

Yesterday, Gabe and I were walking down the Halloween aisle at Wal-Mart, and one of the motion-sensored goblins came to life. Gabriel almost jumped out of the cart...he was crying and screaming. He and I had to hurry out of that asile. And I have some Halloween decorations out at home, and he just isn't sure about some of them. He always walks really slow past the pumpkin and the witch, and just doesn't take his eyes off of them. Now I am beginning to wonder how he will do at the Halloween party at the zoo where everybody is dressed up. And I also wonder how he's going to do when we have trick-or-treaters all dressed up!

Emma wants to be a princess, but I am thinking she might change her mind when we go costume shopping...no, probably not! Mike thinks Gabe should be a little tool man, since his favorite toys are his tools. He always has one tool in his hand. And he loves banging on the coffee table with his hammer. Yesterday he was under the coffee table, banging his hammer as if he was really fixing it! And he likes to use his screw driver on real screws (like in the coffee table or entertainment center), and he will say "turn, turn". It's so darn cute. He got the cutest Handy Manny tools for his birthday...they have the eyes just like the cartoon. And his favorite one is the hammer. When we drop Emma off at preschool, he usually has one in his hand.

Today Emma had ballet. I watcher her for a few minutes, and she was doing all of the moves. She really likes it!

I need to go and get ready for Grey's Anatomy! I can't wait! I am also currently reading "Eclipse" by Stephenie Meyer. I am addicted to Edward...I admit it!! I have already read the first two and LOVED them.

Emma's visit to the dentist

Yesterday was Emma's second visit to the dentist. She went back in January, and we really didn't like that pediatric dentist. So yesterday, I took her to my dentist because the hygenists are wonderful. The dentists are good too, but we all know that you spend most of your visit with the hygenist. Of course, unless you have cavaties...but Emma did not. Anyways, the hygenist was great, and she explained everything that she was going to do to Emma. And Emma just grinned and was very eager. She opened her mouth really wide, and did everything the hygenist asked her to do. And at the end, she got to pick out her toothbrush--barbie of course! And the dentist looked in her mouth, and said, "Mom, everything looks great!" So we go back in March for her next check-up. And Emma even sit in the room while I had my check-up. She just played with the toys, until she had to potty. But she was such a good little girl! Gabe was with mamaw...I just don't know when he will be ready for the dentist. The hygenist told me that she didn't think she would bring her little boy in until he was closer to 5. But she said that you can usually tell if they will sit still for the check-up...and nope, Gabe's not there yet. He won't even sit still for a hair cut! Emma loves the dentist, and getting her hair cut.

I have several pictures to post, and will do that soon.
