Quick Update!!

Gabriel has been sleeping in his toddler bed since Sunday! And he has adjusted quite well! He sleeps through the night, and loves it that he can get out of his bed all by himself as soon as he wakes up, which is around 8:00 usually! He is such a big boy! We ordered the wooden adult rails that converts his crib into a bed. As soon as they come in, we will be turning the toddler bed into a full-sized bed!

Emma Caroline started tee ball practice last week. She loves it! And May will be a busy month, with her ballet recital on the 23rd and her last day of preschool on the 27th! We have been loving the weather and spending a lot of time outdoors playing and planting flowres, and we are really looking forward to the summer--we already bought our pool passes for the water park! I have tons of pictures to post and will do that soon!

SPRING IS HERE!!

Gabe loved painting Easter eggs!

And of course, painting is Emma's favorite thing to do!

Emma, Brenna and Gabe on Easter. We had an egg hunt at our house!

Gabe and Emma loved the play dough ice cream shop that the Easter Bunny left! Gabe kept saying, "More sprinkles mommy!"

Emma and Gabe on Easter morning

We went to the church that runs Emma's preschool on Saturday for a big egg hunt. She wouldn't sit in this bunny's lap, but she wanted her picture made standing BESIDE him instead! There were several (weird looking) bunnies walking around there. And of course,Gabe wouldn't get near any of the bunnies!

Here's Daddy, Emma and Gabe after the Easter egg hunt was over. They hid 13,000 eggs for the event!

Gabe had so much fun picking up his eggs!

Emma had a ball!

Here's Emma and her friend Savannah! Savannah came over last week for her first sleepover. And now, Emma is begging to go to Savannah's house for her first sleepover, and she will soon!

Daddy, Emma and Gabe before the church's egg hunt

Gosh, these pictures are so out of order! Sorry! My sister and I took the kids to the zoo almost 2 weeks a go, and they had so much fun! Gabe loved the playground!

He was looking at the flamingos!

Gymnastics!

I joined a local gym, and every Tuesday they have gymnastics for the kids. At 10:00 they go in with the instructor, and then at 10:30 they have a "mommy and me" gymnastics class. We went last Tuesday and Gabe LOVED it! He was doing flips and jumping! The instructor was awesome! He sure has a lot of energy to burn off! But it was so cute watching him. They won't have gymnastics tomorrow due to Spring Break, but next Tuesday we will be there! It's cool that it's included with your gym membership. I have been going a week now, and Gabe is liking the daycare more and more. Although today, we pulled into the parking lot, and he told me, "Wrong way mommy! Wrong way!" But he didn't cry, and he and Emma played on their jungle gym they have for the kids, and when I went to pick them up, Gabe said, "No! Stay here!". So I am guessing that he is liking it now. And hey, it's good practice for when he goes to preschool in August!

We are so happy to be on Spring Break this week! We have no major plans, but we plan on going to the zoo on Friday with my family if the weather cooperates! It is nice to not have to rush around in the mornings, that's for sure!

Trip to the dentist!

Today was Emma's dental appointment, and Gabe and I went back with her of course. While the hygnist was cleaning Emma's teeth, Gabe was standing beside her checking out every detail. He was so interested, that after Emma was finished (She had a cleaning and a fluoride treatment), she asked me if I wanted her to clean his teeth. I had never made him an appointment because I didn't think he was ready yet, but boy was I wrong! He hopped right into the chair, put on his little sunglasses and was as good as gold. He opened his mouth really wide, answered her questions by shaking his head yes or no, and did awesome. He loved having his teeth cleaned, but she didn't do the fluoride treatment on him yet, which is fine! I was in shock! I took pictures for proof! She said that his teeth looked great! The dentist came in and looked at Emma's teeth first, and told her that they looked great and no cavities. But Gabe didn't want to get back in the chair for the dentist, and that was fine. The dentist told me that he didn't want to force Gabe after he had been such a good boy. But the hygenist didn't see any cavities, and I was more than happy about how well he did.

Emma was all smiles before her check-up!

She did very well during her check-up and cleaning and treatment!

Gabriel during his check-up! He did great!!

He was all smiles!!

The pictures below are from last week!

Gabe loves playing with moon sand!

Emma loved making bubbles outside!

Look! He pushed his vacuum under his tool bench to make sure he didn't miss anything! Mommy's little helper!

Emma posed for me while at the playground yesterday with her playgroup,

I thought Gabe looked so cute in his new shorts!

And Emma looked so cute in her pigtails!

Here they are before we left for church!

Gabe's ABC song!

I thought he was too cute singing his ABC song!

My Little Helper!

Gabe is mommy's little helper. I just finished vacuuming, and he had his little vacuum helping me. He would push it under Emma's bed and pull it back out--I was wishing it was a real one! He stayed right with me. And you know what? I forget how big this house actually is until I vacuum it--all 3000 square feet of it (which includes the basement)! And tell me again why Mike and I are looking for a larger house? Oh well!

We registered Emma for pre-k and Gabe for 3-year-old preschool. After talking with Emma's teacher, we decided that it was best for Emma to send her to pre-k next August, and then to Kindergarten in August 2010.Pre-K is for children with late birthdays, and it gives them another year of preparation before Kindergarten. So instead of being 4 when she starts, she will be 5 (and turning 6 in a few weeks). She will go M-F, 9 to 12. Gabe will go M-W, 9 to 12. I know Emma will do fine, she loves her preschool. I just hope Gabe likes it as much as his big sister! And again, we have to have him potty trained before August--oh, the pressure!! But he will get to have Miss Michelle (who Emma had and loved), and he will be in the same class as his little friend Riley. We also registered Emma for tee ball for the summer. She is so excited about it--we just hope that she remains excited after she starts playing.

He was helping mommy with the laundry, and decided to use the hamper as a tunnel!

Cat in the Hat, Dr. Emma, Crazy hair Gabe and more...

It's been a while--wow! Below are pictures that have been taken of the kids over the past few weeks.

Tonight, while we were getting the kids in the bath, Mike and I walked into Emma's room to find a doctor's office! She had been doctoring her babies again, and this time they needed bandages. Notice the "sling" made out of toilet paper on baby Peyton above. Yeah, we knew that we had a future doctor on our hands!!

Ariel seemed to have some sort of head injury along with her broken arm. See the bandages?

We were on our way to preschool, and they had their shades on! Aren't they cute??

Daddy wrapped them up in their blankets!

Emma's preschool had "Wacky Wednesday" last week, and they learned all about Dr. Suess, and the Cat in the Hat made a surpise visit and read the story, "Oh the Places You'll Go!"

The Cat in the Hat visiting with Emma's class.

Emma on Wacky Wednesday!

Emma and 3 of her classmates!

Gabe wanted to wear a scarf too, since his sister was wearing one!

Emma Caroline

In her wacky outfit, which consisted of striped capris, Cinderella shirt on backwards, pink scarf, striped tights, and different shoes on each foot! Oh, and wacky hair to go with the outfit!! She loved it!

Aunt Tonya had fun "styling" Gabe's moppy hair! He got his hair cut today, so no more mop! He looks adorable with his new cut!

Sweet boy!

Here he is, trying to use the bulldozer on his bear! He would get mad every time Aw Bear fell off!

Emma wanted me to take a picture of her on the rocking caterpillar!

Our little lady!

Gabe in his big boy underwear--too bad they didn't stay dry for long!
